Follow the steps given below to pay road tax in Karnataka:

Step 4: Fill in your vehicle registration number, choose the relevant RTO, and click on ‘Proceed’.
Step 5: You need to open the ‘Services’ tab and click on ‘Tax/Fee Services’.
Step 6: Choose ‘Pay Your Tax’ and enter your vehicle registration number along with the last five characters of the chassis number.
Step 7: Click ‘Verify Details’ and complete the road tax payment form.
Step 8: Proceed to ‘Payment’, confirm the details, and continue with the payment.
Step 9: Choose a suitable online payment mode and complete the transaction.
Step 10: Once the payment is successful, download and print the receipt for future reference.
Step 11: Download the application letter generated by the system and note your application number.

You can use the vehicle from other states in Karnataka for up to a year without paying road tax, provided road tax is paid within the grace period.
