  • On Hold: This status means that your credit card request has been put on hold due to some reason. In most cases, common reasons include lack of documents or missing verification. In such a case, you can contact the bank to complete the process. 
  • Approved: This means that the application has received the approval of higher authorities but is still to be printed and sent to your address. 
  • Rejected: This means that the bank has rejected the request for a credit card. The most common reason is that the bank is not convinced with the data furnished by the applicant. Sometimes, the bank may also find the applicant too risky for a credit card, and this can reject the application.

  2. How long will it take for the bank to process the application for my credit card?

    Banks usually take seven to 10 working days to process the application of your credit card. You can check with the bank if the process is getting delayed.

  3. If my application has been rejected, can I apply again for a credit card from the bank?

    Yes, you can always apply for another credit card from the very same bank. However, in most cases you will have to wait six months before submitting another credit card application.

  4. If I do not have an application reference number, what should I do?
